  Club History

Birmingham based, Callowbrook Swifts JFC was formed in 1996 by the now President Steve Rudge.

Initially to cater for one age group, Callowbrook has grown rapidly over the last few years to it's present number of 14 team's.

Swifts team's are now available in every age group from Under 7's to Under 16's, with a newly formed all-girl football team that will compete at Under 12 level in season 2006-2007.

In 2001, Callowbrook was awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard mark of Development club status (FA Charter level 2).

Run by willing volunteers on a non-profit basis, all club officials have gained FA coaching badges together with up to date First aid and Child Protection certificates. All have successfully passed CRB Police checks to ensure a totally fun and safe environment for children of all ages to enjoy their football.

Season 2006-2007 saw Swifts form a new girls team to compete at Under 12's. In their first season, Swifts girls finished as Mercian Worcestershire League runners-up as well as Cup Semi-finalist.

Swifts girls team also repeated this feat in season 2007-2008 to register back-to-back league honours.

This achievement is a club record by an all-girl Swifts team.
